چکیده

The aims of our study were to investigate association some effect pro- inflammatory and antiinflammatory cytokines before after surgical patients through serum concentration of, TNF-?,IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10. 35 blood samples collected from (17 male, 18 female)withgeneral anesthesia Al-Diwaniyah Hospital, Iraq. Samples taken surgery (Tpre), the firstday) T1), third day) T3 (and fifth day (T5) operative skin incision.Pro-inflammatory cytokines(IL-2, TNF-?) anti-inflammatory (IL-4, IL-10) quantitatively analyzed byELISA technique. Our resultsshowed there no significant difference (p<0.05) in WBCs count, WBCspercentage (neutrophil, eosinophil, basophil, monocytes lymphocytes), PCV, PCT percentage HBconcentration (Tpre) (T1, T3, T5) operation. Also results showed therewere a decrease IL-2 (T1) (T3) postoperative comparedwith (T pre), returned pre-operative values on (T5). IL-6 increase first daypostoperative (T1), then decreased (T3 compared TNF? slightly increasedin (T1 but didn’t significantly, IL-4 show any betweenTpre, T1, T5. IL-10 with tothe preoperative We could be concludethe pro? anti?inflammatory cytokinesbalanced ratio is essential regulate responses postoperative. Anti-inflammatory cytokine(IL-10) increased suppress excessive pro-inflammatory cytokine (IL-6).

Effects of Pantoprazole on Systemic and Gastric Pro- and Anti-inflammatory Cytokines in Critically Ill Patients

Stress-related mucosal damage (SRMD) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients due to the gastrointestinal blood loss. Prophylaxis of SRMD with proton pump inhibitors or histamine-2 blockers has gained widespread use in intensive care units. Both demonstrated to be effective in reducing clinically significant bleedings, while PPIs has shown to exert some anti ...

Impact of Opium Addiction on Levels of Pro- and Anti-inflammatory Cytokines after ‎Surgery

Background: Opium addiction alters immune responses to stresses such as an injury due to changing the secretion of cytokines. The present study assessed the effect of opium addiction on the cytokines [tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα), interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-4 (IL-4), and IL-10] before and after laparotomy. Methods: Male rats were randomly divided into control and opium addicted (n = 20...

Probiotic yogurt Affects Pro- and Anti-inflammatory Factors in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an irregular response of immune system accompanied with different inflammatory manifestations including alterations in cytokines. Probiotics are non-pathogenic organisms with probable effects in various conditions such as inflammation. The present study hypothesized whether oral intake of bifidobacterium and lactobacillus in form of probiotic yogurt may ...
